Five For Filming is dedicated to the critique and discussion of cinema in all of its forms–be it blockbuster, budget-less, or somewhere in between. We strive to analyze film not just as film but as a product of its time, believing that cinematic discourse is always more interesting when it goes beyond the simple like-or-dislike paradigm. Our goal is to empower our readers to think about every film–even the “brainless”–as a piece of the puzzle that is human experience.
Five For Filming is run by Kyle Etzel, a graduate cinema studies student at Southern Methodist University. He resides full-time in the Dallas, Texas area.
